Date — 2021KOLK 17 — Brand Identity
KOLK 17, a puppet theatre and museum in Lübeck, was preparing for a new chapter with the development of its new cultural home. The brief was to create an identity that brought together theatre, museum and research under one roof while honouring the institution's rich heritage and embracing its architectural future.
Working together, we developed the creative direction for the winning pitch, building the identity around the relationship between architecture, storytelling and play. Inspired by the new building itself, we created a distinctive logo that abstracted its architectural forms into a simple and memorable symbol. This became the foundation of a flexible visual language designed to unite performances, exhibitions, education and public programmes within one cohesive identity.
The result was a contemporary brand that reflected KOLK 17's ambition to become more than a theatre or museum. It became a cultural destination where history, education and imagination come together.
